Property details

Grab a slice of the high life at this super stylish Sweden escape in Gothenburg where fun and frivolity prevail - includes breakfast, optional dinner, and pool club access
  • As cool as the come: This towering expanse of luxury and trend in central Gothenburg is the final word in cool accommodation - but this bolthole is much more about the experience than just having a bed in a city. With drop-dead-gorgeous interiors, an uber-chic rooftop pool club, not to mention the eye-catching, 100-metre tall exterior that’s already something of a Gothenburg landmark, from the moment you arrive until when you leave, you’ll be in seventh heaven.

  • Party central: Panchanga Pool Club has immediately muscled its way to the top spot of most fashionable places in the city. The rooftop club boasts supreme views of Gothenburg, which can be admired from one of two swanky pools, while listening to the resident DJ’s hip beats that always match the mood. A squad of master mixologists are on hand to whip up bespoke cocktails, and should you feel peckish, enjoy delicious dishes like lobster rolls and poké bowls. The perfect picture’s completed by saunas, a fire pit, and a selection of board games.

  • Delicious dining: All of your culinary cravings will be well and truly satisfied at the hotel’s three exceptional dining destinations. The main restaurant, Archie’s, showcases the best all-American classics, whereas Gogogaga is an Asian-fusion skybar and social dinner club with strong LA vibes. If you’re looking for a quick and hearty lunch, you can’t do any better than Gaby’s, where cultures from all corners of the world meet in a boiling pot of cultural diversity.

Location and what's nearby

Drakegatan 10, 412 50 Gothenburg, Sweden

Located at the mouth of the Gota River, on the southwest coast, Gothenburg may be known as Sweden’s 'second city', but its good-time reputation is enough to rival hip Stockholm. With a wooden roller coaster, plenty of bars and clubs and boutique shops showcasing up-and-coming designers, it’s a city that buzzes all year round.

The hotel is within walking distance of Central Station and is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Götaplatsen square, where you’ll find the city’s main theatre and independent art galleries.

If museums and galleries don’t float your boat, then head up to the city’s port, which is the largest in Scandinavia, to see many of Sweden’s historic vessels, including a Viking ship. Spend an afternoon strolling around the network of canals and the cobbled squares lined with pastel-colored buildings. No visit to Gothenburg is complete without sampling a few regional specialties, such as lingonberry jam or herring and new potatoes washed down with beer and schnapps.
