Take to the shores of Lake Windermere for a slice of respite at a charming hotel with a spa - includes breakfast, optional dinner, and more
  • Peaceful haven: With an idyllic position on the southern shores of Lake Windermere, Lakeside Hotel & Spa truly lives up to its name. Its ivy-clad stone façade is the picture of rural England. Inside, you’ll find cosy interiors, a soothing spa, and a light-filled dining-room-slash-conservatory which rustles up some of the finest cuisine to grace Cumbria’s gourmet scene.

  • Dining by the lake: Local ingredients and lakeside views await at the Lakeview Grill Restaurant and Conservatory, where Head Chef Adrian Fenton brings flavours to life on a seasonally changing menu. Even breakfast here is an event, served 8-10.30am daily, with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and a variety of à la carte dishes (including Cumberland sausages at their most mouthwatering).

  • See, feel, experience: Inspired by the power of nature, the hotel’s spa is a welcome respite from everyday life. Float lazily in the indoor pool, gazing out to the manicured gardens and ponds beyond, or go even further with a massage or beauty treatment provided by the hands of a skilled therapist. Then, unwind outside in front of the fire pit as the sky slowly turns to dusk.
