Your closest airport is Glasgow Airport, just a 40-minute drive away. The town of Stirling is a 50-minute drive, and from Edinburgh it’s 90 minutes. Plan on driving yourself? Just pop in the postcode G630JQ. If you’re coming by train, alight at Balloch train station and take a connecting bus to Balmaha. For a more dramatic arrival, guests can arrive by helicopter on the Oak Tree Inn private helipad.

Please note, kayak and paddleboard hire is available offsite and suitable for families with older children (additional fees apply for water sport activities).

It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

Positioned between the foot of Conic Hill and the shore of Loch Lomond, will you climb up to find breathtaking, panoramic views, or glide across the pristine loch? Whether you’re the water sport or champagne cruise type, there’s a fresh air activity for everyone! Try your hand at everything from guided paddleboard to kayak tours, or hop on the on-demand ferry from Balmaha Boatyard to the beautiful Inchcailloch Island. Head to the southern end of the island for a sandy beach stretch or take the path to the summit for picture-perfect views of Ben Lomond and Loch Lomond.

However, if you don’t feel like bracing the great outdoors, you could just as easily join a nearby distillery tour to enjoy a tipple of single highland malt scotch whiskey. The choice is yours!
