If you love teeing off amidst beautiful scenery, look no further than Dundalk Golf Club. The parkland course sits above the seaside village of Blackrock, offering spectacular views across Dundalk Bay towards the Cooley and Mourne Mountains. Whilst in the area, make the most of Blackrock, the historic fishing village where you can stroll the seafront promenade, wander in and out of the little boutiques, and take a bracing dip in the Irish Sea. Spend some time on the sands of Blackrock Beach, then head into one of the several cafés and restaurants lining the shore for an ice cream, a coffee or a delicious meal. If hiking is your thing, drive over to the Cooley Peninsula; the ancient landscape is criss-crossed with plenty of circular walks that traverse the mountain slopes. Stop by the popular Blue Flag Templetown Beach to stroll the wide, sandy shores before heading back.
