Helm Road, Bowness-on-Windermere, Windermere, LA23 3BA
Historic sites of interest include the Neolithic Stone Circle at Castlerigg, the Bronze Age settlement at Threlkeld and the Roman fort at Hardknott Pass which makes for one of England's most spectacular drives. Know that you’re following in the footsteps of Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, who both spent time in the area (in fact, you’re only a two-minute walk from the delightful World of Beatrix Potter).
