Reconnect with nature at a rural bolthole in Austria’s idyllic Zillertal Valley, with fresh regional cuisine and an enchanting panoramic spa - includes breakfast, dinner, spa access, optional ski passes, and more
  • Idyllic alpine abode: Immersed in the forest-cloaked, snow-capped mountains of Austria’s renowned Zillertal Valley, Natur Resort Rissbacher makes for an utterly restorative alpine retreat. An ode to its enchanting surroundings, this family-run resort offers traditional Tyrolean hospitality with a contemporary and sustainable twist: step inside for ultra-modern amenities and delightful regional touches, or venture out to the hotel’s very own farm, herb garden and apple orchard. And with endless mountain pursuits at your fingertips, the hotel is a box-ticking bolthole at any time of year.

  • Feel-good food: Wake up to a wonderful homemade breakfast each morning, filled with fragrant fresh produce and regional delights that can be savoured al fresco in warm weather. Later on, savour light bites and scrumptious desserts in the afternoon, before tucking into a fabulous five-course dinner, where the finest seasonal, organic and locally-grown ingredients have pride of place.

  • Spa with a view: A world of alpine wellness awaits you at the Sky Spa, a spectacular rooftop oasis with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Gaze out at the magical mountains from the steam bath, Finnish and bio saunas, before melting into the magnificent sky pool for 360-views out across the valley. You’ll find another pool and tranquil sundeck in the hotel’s lovely garden, plus a sprinkling of soothing relaxation rooms for post-spa snoozing.

Your beautiful alpine base sits in the heart of western Austria’s Zillertal Valley, where lush fields and forests lead gently uphill from the small town of Mayrhofen to the high mountain village of Hintertux. In winter, the snow-capped peaks ensure enchanting views, and are a veritable snow sports haven - hop on the free ski bus at your doorstep to nearby Hochfügen-Hochzillertal-Spieljochbahn ski area, or take a five-minute drive to the Zillertal Arena, the region’s largest ski area boasting no fewer than 50 lifts and 163 kilometres of pistes.

In summer, you'll find a staggering 1,400 kilometres of hiking trails to explore, so you'll have plenty of time to get back in touch with nature. For those seeking something a little different, you’ll find walking and cycling tours available in the vicinity and climbing for the more adventurous, while the nearby Zillertal Uderns golf course is just a 10-minute drive away and suitable for all levels.
