Rudding Park Hotel, Spa & Golf
Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Property details
The hotel itself adopts a decor that veers on the right side of contemporary, and each of the rooms and suites impress with designer-led furnishings, up-to-date gadgetry, and lovely bathrooms with roll top baths. There’s also a 14-screen private cinema, a gym, two golf courses, and an on-site golf academy. On the dining front, choose from three AA Rosette-awarded Horto for contemporary fine dining, or two AA Rosette-awarded Clocktower Restaurant. It comes as no surprise that this haven of relaxation has been voted Best UK Spa Hotel by The Sunday Times and Best Hotel in England, outside London, in this year’s TripAdvisor Traveller's Choice awards.
Good to know
To add a spa treatment to your stay or to include access to the Roof Top Spa and Garden please contact the hotel to make a booking as a supplement does apply and availability can be limited.
- Set in 300 acres of beautiful parkland, Rudding Park is just three miles from the spa town of Harrogate. It has an 18-hole golf course and enough laid-back luxury to make you want to stay for days. Your Follifoot Wing room assures a super king-size bed, in-room gadgetry and a bathroom with underfloor heating and a roll-top bath. Unsurprising, then, that the hotel was recently named winner of Hotel of the Year at The Catey Awards 2019 and is a winner in this year’s TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice awards.
- The jewel in this already pleasing crown is the UK's first Roof Top Spa & Garden, which draws on the natural spring waters of Rudding Park, and offers a stunning infinity pool, relaxing 'Escape Zone' and more. Naturally, the hotel has previously been voted Best UK Spa Hotel by The Sunday Times.
- With three AA Rosettes, contemporary fine dining restaurant Horto uses seasonal ingredients from Rudding Park Kitchen Garden to create a menu dictated by nature. All-day dining spot, Clocktower, features an attention-grabbing pink glass chandelier and 400-year-old olive tree, alongside its modern British food.
How to get there
The hotel is an easy half-hour drive north of Leeds, sitting just 10 minutes out of Harrogate itself. Manchester is around a 90-minute drive away, via the M62, while the hotel is a four-hour drive from London via the M1. Hornbeam Park or Pannal train stations are 10 minutes by car.
Good to know
Please note that Horto is open for dinner Wednesday to Sunday (7pm with last orders at 8.30pm).
