Property details
- Fascinating history: Once a well-known coaching inn, Wynnstay Hotel has been an important part of the town of Oswestry since 1727. As the perfect resting place for those travelling up and down the country, the inn has seen its fair share of illustrious guests through its doors, including a young Queen Victoria. Now, the inn has been brought up-to-date yet still retains a rural air of days gone by.
- Expertly prepared British fare: From exquisite three-course dinners to hearty weekend brunches, the hotel’s culinary offerings will refuel you after a day of exploring the villages and castles of the English-Welsh border. Wynnstay’s menus are brimming with fresh, local produce: tuck in to corn-fed chicken, slow-braised pork belly, or homemade fishcakes served with seasonal greens. We haven’t even mentioned the Sunday roasts, afternoon teas, or artisan sandwiches that complete the well-rounded menus.
- Serenity and style: The hotel offers a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. The interiors feature elegant period décor, with antique furnishings and original artwork creating a welcoming ambiance. The guest rooms are thoughtfully appointed, each with its own unique character. Guests can expect plush bedding, luxurious linens, and en-suite bathrooms. Many rooms also boast stunning views of the surrounding countryside, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
