How to get there

The town of Helmsley can easily be reached via the A1(M) and is a 50-minute drive from York city centre. If you’re arriving by train, Thirsk is the nearest station and is approximately 30-minutes away by car.

Located in the heart of the North Yorkshire region, the Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa is perfectly situated to enjoy all that the area’s natural beauty has to offer. For nature and history lovers alike, the nearby English Heritage site of Helmsley Castle is a few minutes walk from the hotel, and offers a unique historical insight into a ruined mediaeval castle as well as access into the North York Moors National Park beyond. The extravagant estates of Duncombe Park are also a short distance away and Rievaulx Abbey & Terrace is a 10-minute journey by car. There are also plenty of picturesque walks which wind throughout the local area, but if the city starts to call your name, the walled city of York is a 50-minute drive from the hotel.
