Surrounded by eight acres of grounds, Bartley Lodge Hotel is blissfully quiet while being easily accessible. Most active pursuits take place outside: with the New Forest nearby, there are lots of walks to be found, so bring your walking boots to make the most of the location.

Pretty Beaulieu is around 12 miles away - home to the National Motor Museum and a gorgeous riverside crying out for picnics, while Lyndhurst is a mere five-minute drive. Grab a bite to eat in one of the charming pubs and work it off on a bicycle tour – you can hire bikes for the afternoon from shops in the village. You're also a short drive from world-famous Peppa Pig World and Marwell Zoo.
