A Cretan stay situated between Malia and Stalis, with a private sandy beach and a spa - includes breakfast, one dinner, spa treatment, and more

  • Best of both worlds: The stylish result of modern design mixed with classic Cretan flourishes, Alexander Beach Hotel & Village Resort is a Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice 2021-awarded beach retreat that offers relaxation through and through. Set within walking distance of Crete’s two contrasting seaside hubs, you get the best of both worlds; Stalis for its laid-back yet sophisticated vibe and Malia for its big-name clubs that fulfil every dance devotee’s fantasy.

  • A dreamer's paradise: Fill your days lazing on golden sands at the private beach, topping up your tan by five dip-worthy pools, playing tennis on two courts, and keeping busy with mini football, beach volleyball, billiards and more. There’s also a heated indoor pool and an oversized spa, where you can bliss out in the Finnish sauna and hammam or enjoy head-to-toe cleansing with mud, heat and steam in the Rasul.

  • Mediterranean magic: Each of the rooms and suites assure simple on-trend décor with neutral palettes, hints of rich colour, marble bathrooms, and furnished balconies or garden terraces. For foodies, there’s a great selection of buffet and à la carte spots presenting classic Cretan cuisine reinterpreted with modernist cooking techniques, plus a fair few places to kick back with end-of-day cocktails.

How to get there

Alexander Beach Hotel & Village Resort is just over 30 kilometres from Heraklion Airport; we recommend hiring a car to make your journey as smooth as possible.

Malia 700 07, Crete, Greek Islands

You’ll be right on the gorgeous bay of Malia - a peaceful stretch of golden sand backed by glittering Aegean waters. Two of Crete’s two contrasting beach hubs are both within walking distance; head to Stalis for quaint Venetian-style streets, sea-facing cafés and a laid-back yet sophisticated vibe, or hit Malia for water sports and a 24-hour party scene with too-cool bars and big-name clubs. For a cultural fix, Crete’s capital Heraklion is a 45-minute drive away and well worth the effort for its Venetian Fortress of Heraklion, huge Archaeological Museum, and crowd-pleasing Palace of Knossos.
