Property details

A set of 21 apartments housed in historic buildings in Porto, decorated with modern flair - includes breakfast, late check-out and a choice of accommodation. Refundable hotel - book with confidence

  • Modern style: Breathing modernity into downtown Porto, the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence-winning Aparthotel Oporto combines its classic exterior and interior features with crisp lines, splashes of colour and lots of light, not to mention stylish kitchen areas and solid wooden furniture for a dash of luxury living along the River Douro.

  • Laid-back facilities: When you’re not relaxing in your spacious surrounds or drinking in the culture (and the wine) of the local area, kick back in the quiet garden area with a glass of sangria and a book, taking the time to cool off in the swimming pool.

  • Ideal setting: The three 19th-century Art Deco buildings take on a new lease of life in one of Portugal’s most charming cities, where roofs of terracotta gently spill down to the riverside. Your central location means you can make the most of local activities, such as boat rides and port wine tastings.

How to get there

Aparthotel Oporto Alves da Veiga is just under 20 kilometres away from Porto’s main airport, Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport. You can take Metro line E from the airport (they run every 20 minutes or so) to Trindade, in the city centre; from there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the aparthotel.

Location and what's nearby

R. Dr. Alves da Veiga 65, 4000-073 Porto, Portugal

Most famous for its namesake drink, many tourists flock to Porto for its food, wine and laid-back vibes. A treasure trove of culture and history sloping gently down to the river, you’ll find an abundance of museums, churches and cathedrals in a mishmash of architectural styles, as well as the classic terracotta roofs so familiar throughout Spain and Italy.

As well as meandering along the bankside and sipping vinho verde (a zingy green wine), visit the Jardins do Palácio Cristal for long walks around gardens and woodland, or head to the Monastery on the south side of the city and take a tour of one of the oldest buildings in the city. Not to be missed is the Livraria Lello bookstore, the bookstore and café J.K. Rowling frequented when she lived in the city, and inspired many of the characters and locations for the Harry Potter series.
