The charming Slovenian seaside resort of Portorož on the Adriatic Coast overlooks the beautiful Bay of Piran – lined with beaches, a marina and numerous hotels. People have been coming here for centuries to visit its spas, with therapeutic treatments based on mud and brine from the nearby Sečovlje Salina salt pans.

The hotel is located 450 yards from Portorož beach (about six minutes' walk across the road), with the Grand Casino 750 yards away. You can charter a boat from Portoroz Marina, also just a few minutes' walk away. The town itself has a lively atmosphere, with shopping, bars, cafes and entertainment.
