Enjoy a swanky beachfront stay in the blissful Bahamas, a short walk from top Nassau sights and the port - includes breakfast
  • Bahamian bliss: Find your slice of island paradise at British Colonial Nassau, a regal hotel on the north coast of New Providence. You can soak up the Caribbean sunshine as you stretch out on a lounger, listening to the sound of the waves lapping the sandy shores right in front of the hotel. A glistening pool beckons, perfect for relaxing and refreshing dips. Enjoy the mesmerising views from one of the partially-submerged chaises longues, or for a really indulgent treat, book a relaxing poolside massage in one of the private cabanas.

  • Exceptional dining: Between the seven restaurants and bars, you’ll never be short of choice at this hotel. Start your day with hearty breakfast favourites in the à la carte breakfast restaurant, or head to the lobby coffee bar for pastries and hot drinks - they also serve freshly-made sandwiches, paninis and flatbreads throughout the day. Stop by the beachfront bar and grill for tasty fish tacos, burgers and classic cocktails, or head to the noodle bar for Asian-inspired cuisine made with fresh, local seafood. There’s also a chic supper club for fine dining experiences, plus an outdoor cigar bar and a martini bar with live jazz on the weekends, perfect for those relaxed evenings.

  • Luxury and leisure: Spend hours lounging by the sea, or get out on the waves and try snorkelling, diving, fishing or jet skiing with the assistance of the sports concierge. There’s also a 24-hour fitness centre for those who really like to keep active, or if you want to do some exploring, you’re in the perfect spot to pick up a boat trip and discover some of the other nearby islands.

How to get there

The hotel is located in Downtown Nassau, roughly a 25 to 40-minute drive from Lynden Pindling International Airport.

British Colonial Nassau, One Bay St, Nassau, Bahamas

The Bahamas’ most-populous island, New Providence is brimming with colonial history. Queen’s Staircase is a popular 18th-century landmark just 20 minutes from the hotel, whilst the immersive Pirates of Nassau museum is almost on your doorstep. Learn more about the island’s colonial past as you flit between museums and art galleries housed in historic buildings, or take a tour of the island’s defensive forts - Fort Charlotte boasts dungeons, a moat and weekly re-enactments of 18th-century island life.

Just a short walk from the dock, the hotel is also a great location for starting any boat trips. The ferry across to Paradise Island takes around ten minutes - the main draws of the island are its immense Aquaventure waterpark and its powdery beaches, like stunning Cabbage Beach. You could also pick up a smaller boat tour that takes in some of the quieter islands like Athol Island and Big Major Cay, where the famous Bahamas swimming pigs are found on Pig Beach.
