Tudor-style Cotswolds stay at a Grade II-listed mansion with a pool and manicured grounds - includes breakfast and dinner credit
  • Grand charm: As imposing as its name suggests, De Vere Tortworth Court is a Grade II listed Victorian mansion towering over 30 acres of manicured parkland and its own flourishing arboretum. Although occupying the same site for centuries, the building was designed by renowned Gothic Revival architect, Samuel Sanders Teulon in 1849.

  • Ultimate bliss: Leaf Spa provides ample pampering and offers a sleek setting, where you can make use of the indoor pool and sauna or bubble away in the spa bath. The extensive treatment menu includes tempting options like an orange blossom ritual, tailor-made body wraps and a flotation tank.

  • Delectable cuisine: Surround yourself with a lovely Victorian atmosphere as you dine amongst the elegant arches and dark oak panelling of the restored library at 1853 Restaurant & Bar. Choose from a varied menu of classic English dishes, and savour a glass or two from the carefully-selected wine list.

How to get there

De Vere Tortworth Court is located close to Junction 14 of the M5, putting it just 25 minutes from Bristol Parkway station and 40 minutes from Bristol Airport. You'll be less than an hour's drive from Bath, Gloucester and Cheltenham, a half-hour from the centre of Bristol, and two and a half hours from central London.

Wotton-under-Edge, South Gloucestershire GL12 8HH

De Vere Tortworth Court rises up between South Gloucestershire market towns and villages, with names straight out of Agatha Christie murder mysteries - like Wotton-under-Edge and Chipping Sodbury. It sits on the western edge of the Cotswolds, meaning you can dive into the idyllic rolling greenery of this Area of Natural Beauty as much as you fancy.

Tuck into a typical Cotswolds cream tea in the picture-postcard towns of Burton or Stow-on-the-Wold. If you need to up the pace, Bristol is positively booming in comparison, offering plenty of shopping, bar-hopping, concerts and festivals to keep you inspired.
