Property details

  • Fit for a king (and the Dambusters): Aviation fans have plenty to look forward to at this country house set in 30 acres of stunning gardens in Lincolnshire's charming Woodhall Spa. Built in 1905 as a private home for an Edwardian baroness who entertained many illustrious guests - King George VI famously played tennis in the grounds - this charismatic property was later requisitioned by the RAF as the WWII Officers’ Mess of the legendary 617 Dambusters Squadron.

  • Home from home: Nowadays, Petwood Hotel is a historic charmer with immaculate gardens for romantic midday strolls, a full-size snooker table to put your skills to the test and a real home-from-home vibe. On the accommodation front, the individually designed guest rooms seamlessly mix characterful quirks with modern-day comforts.

  • Award-winning restaurant: But the pièce de résistance is the AA-rosette awarded flagship restaurant - an elegant dining space helmed by a creative chef who cooks fine British fare prepared with locally sourced and fresh ingredients. Add to the mix award-winning afternoon teas and yummy Sunday lunches, and it’s easy to stay cocooned in this place for days without ever stepping outside the front door.
