Enjoy a relaxing stay at a historic Lancashire country manor with a magnificent spa - includes breakfast and optional dinner
  • Historic country stay: Set amidst 17 acres of private grounds surrounded by the rolling Lancashire countryside, Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa is bursting with character, and thanks to a multi-million-pound renovation, everything has been wonderfully refurbished to a high standard. With an illustrious history dating back an impressive 700 years, here you can soak up tales of bygone days, with turrets and crenelated walls giving the air of a country castle.

  • British dining: The hotel's Cameo Restaurant, open for dinner only, maintains its reputation for tasty, hearty and healthy cuisine. Expect a menu of classic British favourites in an elegantly-styled setting. Elsewhere, the stylish bar is on-hand for light snacks and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

  • Sleek spa: Wind things down with a sojourn at the hotel’s excellent spa, which houses an indoor swimming pool and offers an extensive treatment menu. Sit back in the Jacuzzi and let all your troubles bubble away, or sweat it out in the sauna before indulging in a relaxing massage treatment.

How to get there

Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa lies between the Lancashire towns of Blackburn and Burnley, roughly five minutes away from the nearest train station in Rishton. From London, the journey is about three and a half hours on the train, and four and a half hours by car.
