A unique London stay at a floating concept pop-up hotel moored at the historic Royal Victoria Dock - includes one-way cable car ticket and more
  • Design details: Having floated its way onto London’s hotel scene, this repurposed buoyant stay offers plenty to wow design-lovers. The owners pride themselves in seeing potential where others may not immediately see it, and the same goes for this floating concept hotel, which bought when it was derelict and disused. It was later repurposed, with lots of attention to detail, and then towed across the North Sea to its new home on the cusp of the capital.

  • A good night's sleep: Rooms are put into two categories - Good and Best, some with views of the water, depending on whether they are dockside or on the waterfront. Each room is perfectly designed for two, and features space to work, a  comfy bed, fast Wi-Fi en suite shower rooms with great water pressure. Best rooms are bigger and, situated on the corners of the building, have dreamy views over the water.

  • Hip dining: The Living Room is a hip all-day dining space with communal tables, with tempting menus that serve delicious food using local produce with plenty of options that are vegetarian and vegan friendly - sharing is highly recommended. Breakfasts are continental-style; think croissants, fresh fruit and the like. The real draw is The Roof Terrace, a super sleek rooftop bar boasting one-of-a-kind views over the Thames and London.

How to get there

Good Hotel London is set on Royal Victoria Dock, a mere 10-minute drive from London City Airport. The nearest tube and DLR stations are Canning Town, Royal Victoria and Custom House, all within a 15-minute walk. The Elizabeth Line also runs from Custom House, which is just a seven-minute walk from the hotel, meaning you'll be a mere 12 minutes from central stops such as Liverpool Street and Farringdon, as well as only 30 minutes from King's Cross St Pancras International, Bond Street, and London Paddington. If you fancy a journey with a difference, catch the IFS London Cable Car from the O2 Arena North Greenwich and see London from a unique perspective.

Your floating hotel will be moored at the historic Royal Victoria Dock in Newham – the London borough that lies north of the River Thames. All of East London’s major attractions are within easy distance by tube and taxi; most famously Greenwich Park with its famous Prime Meridian line (all easily accessible with a ride above the Thames in an IFS London Cable Car), the O2 Arena, Cutty Sark, Wilton's Music Hall, Sutton House, Whitechapel Art Gallery, and the Columbia Road Flower Market.

Equally visit-worthy is Brick Lane for bagels, Stratford for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Bethnal Green for the V&A Museum of Childhood.
