  • Hello, cosy: In family hands since 1871, Hotel Hirschen is the home of authentic mountain comforts and chalet-chic charm. As evening falls, take a seat in the warm and inviting main restaurant to sample the perfect blend of refined, gourmet cuisine and hearty, homestyle cooking. For a taste of something different, the hotel’s Thai restaurant serves up authentic Thai flavours in a unique ambience, and neighbouring Chalet Max offers a classic Swiss fondue experience.

Hotel Hirschen, Wildhaus Passhöhe, 9658 Wildhaus, Switzerland

Surrounded by the seven soaring summits of Churfirsten, Wildhaus perches between the craggy peaks at over 1000 metres above sea level. In winter, your proximity to the ski lifts makes zooming even further up the mountains easy, and with 50 kilometres of yellow, red and black runs between the heights of Chäserrugg, Unterwasser and Alt St. Johann, you’ll be spoilt for choice. If skiing isn’t your thing, head for the winter rambling paths and explore the snow-dusted landscape at a more sedate pace. In summer, a network of hiking trails and 20 different sign-posted mountain bike routes will lead you across the slopes. Wander past lush alpine meadows and crystal-clear lakes where sunbathers stretch out on the lido and enjoy refreshing dips in the sparkling waters.
