Escape to a historic estate nestled in the Tuscan countryside amidst vineyards and olive groves - includes breakfast and a welcome drink
  • Scenery and vinery: Find the historic estate of Tenuta di Sticciano tucked between verdant vineyards and rolling hills, in the heart of the beautiful Val d’Elsa. You're in a great spot to explore all this region has to offer, from charming Tuscan towns to centuries-old wineries. If chilled-out days are more your thing, spend sunny hours lounging by the sparkling pool, or even book a tour of the estate’s very own vineyard and sample the Sticciano wines a stone’s throw from your room.

  • Tastes of Tuscany: Take a seat in the garden, and enjoy views across the valley while you sip on finest Tuscan wine or tuck into some classic Italian fare at dinner. Menus here combine local, high-quality ingredients with a passion for excellent food to create an unforgettable culinary experience. In the morning your tasty buffet breakfast is served up in the cosy fireplace room.

  • Inviting interiors: After a busy day of exploring the region, or even a quiet day of relaxing by the pool, you'll be glad to retire to your stylish guest room. Bright, spacious and elegantly furnished, expect Renaissance details, romantic views and a palette of soothing neutrals. Chic-meets-historical décor continues throughout the hotel, where antique furniture and original features - like old timber beams and fireplaces - combine with all the necessary mod-cons for ultimate charm and comfort. Superior rooms even have their own Jacuzzi for the complete R&R experience.

How to get there

Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR) is 40 minutes to an hour away by car. Because of the hotel’s rural location, we recommend hiring a car to make the journey. Parking is available at the hotel at no extra cost.

Tenuta di Sticciano, Via di Sticciano, 207, 50052 Certaldo FI, Italy

Tucked away in Tuscany’s Chianti region, the Val d’Elsa - known for its rolling hills and vineyard-covered landscapes - is the perfect place from which to discover Tuscany’s tastiest exports. Hire a car and drive the winding roads between olive groves and vineyards, stopping off to sample the most authentic olive oil and finest wines that the region has to offer.

History buffs won’t be at a loss either, with the medieval village of Certaldo close at hand. Famous for being the birthplace of the Renaissance writer, Bocaccio, it also boasts a 12th century palazzo and a charming Romanesque church. The beautiful San Gimignano is not far, either, and definitely worth a visit. You can also make day trips to Florence and Siena, both no more than an hour’s drive away. Head to Florence for world-famous art, Renaissance history and the iconic Duomo, or to Siena for less-known but just as beautiful architectural gems and medieval buildings.
