Utter R&R at a laid-back resort in Tenerife, a short walk from the beach - includes breakfast, dinner and a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival
  • Stunning setting: Perched high above the coastal town of Puerto de la Cruz, Hotel Atlantic El Tope enjoys a prime location with a fab views toward the sea and up toward looming Mt. Teide. Don't miss one of the town's main draws – the impressive Lago Martíanez water complex, which boasts one of Europe's largest saltwater pools.

  • A peaceful haven: The hotel itself is a modern affair surrounded by lush green vegetation, bougainvillea and verdant gardens. It's recently undergone extensive renovation in many areas, so expect smart fresh décor throughout - especially in your room, which has its own private balcony with mountain views.

  • Relaxing amenities: Unwind in the sauna or take a dip in the circular swimming pool, and if you fancy upping the activity ante, work up a sweat in the gym. Post-exercise, retire to the sun terrace for panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean; a great spot to watch the sun set.

How to get there

Most flights into Tenerife land into Tenerife South Airport, the larger of the island’s two airports. The hotel is situated around 90 kilometres from here; the best way to get here is via taxi or hire car. If you’d rather come via public transport, hop on the number 343 bus which leaves every two hours or so.

Good to know

There is a steep climb up steps to the hotel, so those with mobility problems should go by way of the road. On-site parking is available for hotel guests.

Please note that some rooms in the hotel are undergoing renovations from Monday to Friday until mid-July. There may be some noise disturbance.

C, Calz. Martianez, 2, 38400 Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain

Located on Tenerife's north coast in Oratova Valley's Puerto de la Cruz, the hotel sits in an elevated position above the town and is accessed by a flight of steps or by way of a longer, less steep winding road. This means it benefits from some fantastic views towards the sea and Mt. Teide (from the back of the hotel).

It's also adjacent to the Martíanez Shopping Centre, which is less than five minutes walk from the beach, and is not too far from the fabulous Lago Martíanez swimming pool complex.
