Χράνοι 240 10, Greece

Occupying a prime spot on Messenia’s olive grove-speckled coastline, Chrani in Greece’s Peloponnese peninsula, has all the trappings of a tranquil Greek resort and then some. This unspoiled seaside village boasts sweeping views of the Mani mountains and a clutch of beautiful white-sand beaches (the nearest is under a five-minute drive from the hotel) along with a smattering of traditional tavernas and cafes tucked away between winding cobbled streets.

For sun-worshippers, the nearby beaches of Kalamaki, Peroulia, Zaga, Finikounda and Voidokilia are all within easy reach while the ancient ruin and castle-strewn city of Kalamata is just a 40-kilometre drive up the coast.
