Property details

A beautiful stone villa set on a hilltop with far-reaching views over Tuscany - includes thoughtful perks
  • Idyllic Tuscan setting: With its red-tiled villas, original stone brickwork and dreamy views over the Val di Chiana, the country estate of Cignella is a typically tranquil Tuscan retreat. Perched atop a hill among well-kept gardens, with commanding vistas towards Lake Trasimino, you’re perfectly placed to get your bearings and plan your exploration of the area’s many attractions.

  • Explore your surroundings: Sashay through Siena, with its medieval Piazza del Campo and 87-metre high Torre de Mangia. Wander round the ancient village of San Quirico d’Orcia or meander through Montepulciano and Montalcino (famed for their vineyards). Marvel at the splendid Renaissance city of Pienza, ‘city of a hundred towers’ San Gimignano or UNESCO World Heritage-listed Val d’Orcia.

  • Home from home: With a helpful concierge service on hand with tips and advice on the local area, you'll feel relaxed in no time. Home for your stay is in a restful, calmly decorated room in one of the villas, where you’ll find a useful information pack telling you all you need to know about your environs. Rejuvenate with a wellness programme, take home some local flavour by enrolling in a cookery class or be whisked on a winery tour.
How to get there

Cignella sits in the Tuscan countryside overlooking Val di Chiana. We recommend hiring a car to make the most of the area. Pisa airport is around. two-hour drive away.
