Get out and about in the striking Yorkshire countryside and quickly discover that it’s a treasure trove just waiting to be explored. From Roseberry Topping (one of the most distinctive hills in Yorkshire) to the ruins of Helmsley Castle and its five-acre walled garden, beauty comes in buckets here.

If you’re looking for a hiking recommendation then you can’t get better than Cleveland Way, a National Trail in ancient Cleveland running 110 miles long. Understandably you might not manage the whole 110 miles, but with a route that ranges from rolling hills to the jagged coast, this diverse trail offers something new at every turn.
